Two contradictory statements from two different ministers in the Kiran Kumar Reddy cabinet on the Telangana issue has created confusion among the people.
Labour Minister Danam Nagender has said the Telangnaa process had already begun with the consultation process by the AICC in-charge of AP affairs Ghulam Nabi Azad.
“Our chief minister said the process would be completed in a month or two. Let us wait for the outcome, rather than taking to streets and create troubles for the people in the name of Sakala Janula Samme. Unnecessarily, the employees would be facing hardship in the form of lack of salaries and disciplinary action,” Nagender said.
On the other hand, School Education Minister S Sailajanath said the Centre would not grant Telangana statehood at any cost.
“Even Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhara Rao knows that there was no question of formation of Telangana. That is why he is resorting all these strikes to safeguard his political identity,” Sailajanath said.
So, who should we believe? Sailajanath or Danam?
