The Telangana Joint Action Committeee, which has totally disintegrated following quitting of the Congress and expulsion of the Telugu Desam Party, is now desperately trying to get back to the focus.
The JAC had lost its relevance so much that even the media persons started taking it lightly. On Friday, media persons even boycotted the press conference by JAC convenor Prof M Kodandaram and others, who did not turn even after one hour of the scheduled time.
On Saturday, the JAC was reconstituted with a revised steering committee headed by Kodandaram. He said the JAC would take out the Telangana Yatra from Hyderabad on Sunday. It would first reach Manuguru in Khammam and from there, it will tour all parts of Telangana to keep up the Telangana tempo.
The Telangana Rasthra Samithi, which is still part of the JAC, has deputed its former MLA E Rajender to participate in the bus yatra. The JAC leaders hope that it would bring back the glory to the committee and there would be good response from the people.
