Rana Daggubati, who made his debut in Leader, has been in the limelight for quite sometime now. After Sekhar Kammulas Leader, he acted in a Hindi film Dum Maro Dum, in which hes paired with Bipasha Basu. Even before the completion of this film, he announced that he has signed two new bilingual films. One of them was to be directed by Selvaraghavan and the other by Gowtham Menon. However, there hasnt been any buzz about both these films. Selvaraghavans film with Rana has been postponed, while Gowtham Menon is busy wrapping up his projects in Tamil and Hindi. The latest news is that Rana has signed a new film which will be directed by Puri Jagannadh.
Puri Jagannadhs recent Telugu film, Golimaar had Gopichand and Priyamani in lead roles and it did considerably well. Soon after the release of the film, he started working on a Hindi film, Budda which had Amitabh Bachchan in lead role. However, there has been no official announcement about the film. Few months ago, he surprised everyone when Bellamkonda Suresh, a prominent producer announced that Puri Jagannadh is going to direct Balakrishna. After quite a few interesting twists and turns, hes all set to direct Rana. Nallamalupu Bujji, who had earlier produced Lakshyam and Lakshmi is going to produce this film. More details about rest of the cast and crew are yet to be revealed. The film is set to go on floors in September.
