Founder-chairman of Satyam Computers B Ramalinga Raju on Friday got a big relief with Supreme Court granting bail to him and his brother Rama Raju, along with former Chief Financial Officer Vadlamani Srinivas in the sensational multi-thousand crore accounting fraud.
Raju got the reprieve on the same day, when another fraudster Koneru Rajendra Prasad was sent to seven-day custody of the Central Bureau of Investigation in connection with the multi-crore Emaar properties scam.
Prasad’s lawyers are making a desperate attempt to get him out on bail, but the evidences are so tight that it is impossible for him to come out.
Ramalinga Raju and his brother had to submit a personal bond of Rs. 2 lakh each with two sureties of same amount to come out on the bail.
However, they had to surrender their passports before the trial court. As the case is in its final stages, Raju can now lead a peaceful life in his house till the court convicts him and sends him to jail again.
