Ever since the day the film Rakta Charitra has hit the floors, it has not only caused a sensation but also a fair share of controversy.
With Ram Gopal Varma leading from the front, things got even more spicy and volatile. Now, the time has come for the film to hit the screens but not before it is still having its share of ups and downs.
As per the latest news, Ramus plans to have the audio release function in Anantapur have been denied by the local SP M K Sinha. The policeman refused it for obvious reasons given the subject of the film and how it can disturb the peace there. Now, the function is happening in Hyderabad and it is heard that the possible date for that would be September 18th or 19th. While the trailers are setting high expectations among the people, there are few social and student organizations who are opposing the release of the film.
They claim that this might disturb the past memories which were violent in the Anantapur district and will cause trouble in the Anantapur district. On the other hand, the police officials have already got into the phase of analyzing the possible effects once the film hits the screens. It is heard that a report has already been sent to the government regarding this. Added to this, AWAY, a voluntary organization has now asked for the screening of the film to the district police, officials, social organizations before it goes to the censors. They say that the promos are misleading Anantapur districts history and are hurting the sentiments of the people.
While Varma is busy dabbling with these, it is heard that he has decided to release the film in third week of October since superstar Rajinikanth is arriving with Robo this month.
